Wow - We visited Universal Studios and went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. A
place where you do not need to be a wizard to experience the magic of
HP. It was a quick trip from Westgate Resorts, where we stayed. Without
giving away too much, we were immersed in Hogsmeade under the shadow of
the impressive Hogwarts Castle. Our arrival was greeted by the
conductor of the Hogwarts Express. We persuaded him to stop his busy
schedule to pose for a quick photo.
The shops closely
resemble Diagon Alley. We enjoyed frozen Butterbeer at the Hogs Head
Pub, where the animated Hogs head clearly gave us his opinion of our
choice. The Dragon's Challenge (dueling dragons) and Forbidden Journey
where great rides! The kids couldn't get enough. Flight of the
Hippogriff is definitely for the younger ones. Passing by Hagrids Hut in
the que and learning how to bow to the Hippogriff.
I loved
the shops and the window displays. You could buy all kinds of
novelties, wizarding supplies, and the famous Bertie Botts
Every-Flavoured Beans. Olivander's was not to be missed, although the
line was terribly long in unbearable heat. All the way special touches
were evident, from the three broomsticks very British fare (delicious)
to Moaning Mertle in the girls room.

2017 Wow, only a mile from Disney, we mostly visited Epcott and Animal Kingdom. Pandora is amazing! No one wants to go home.

2017 Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee... beautiful accommodations, 13 pools, stuff for the kids, baseball field, tennis courts, and more! Why did we buy tickets for Universal? Plenty to do or not, this was perhaps the best trip we've ever had. Of course to answer the previous question, we had a blast in Harry Potter's Wizarding World, transforming three muggles into wizards, casting spells and being spellbound by Diagon Alley and Gringotts. It was crowded, so we were happy to have park to park access for multiple days.

OMG- When can we go again? This resort had everything we could have asked for. We never left the complex except a couple of times for dinner, and had both a fun filled and relaxing time. There was something for everyone. I especially loved the hot tub in the master suite!
